TOKYO, Apr. 5, 2022: Azbil Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange Code: 6845) announced that it has been certified as a 2022 Health and Productivity Management Outstanding Corporation (large enterprise category, White 500 list) in recognition of its initiatives to promote employee health. It aims to certify large enterprises that practice outstanding health and productivity management in collaboration with health insurance associations.
Guided by its philosophy of “human-centered automation,” the azbil Group announced its Health and Well-being Declaration* in July 2019. The Group encourages business management that values people by defining health and well-being management under a comprehensive approach that enables employees to work in a healthy and lively way, including initiatives to change working methods and improve workplaces by reducing total working hours and preventing harassment. Additionally, the Group strives to promote diversity and inclusion so that everyone’s individuality is respected and individuals’ attributes are put to their best use. Also, in connection with one of the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the azbil Group has set the goal of having by 2030 at least 65% of employees satisfied with working in the azbil Group and at least 65% experiencing personal growth in the past year.

- Promoting workplace environments where employees can work with peace of mind even when affected by sickness or injury
- Reducing the risk of aggravating lifestyle-related diseases, including hypertension and diabetes, by restricting work
- Preventing exposure to secondhand smoke
- Promoting mental health (stress checks, manager oversight of employee care, and self-care training)
In addition, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, in fiscal year 2021 Azbil continued efforts such as having employees work from home and commute at off-peak hours. The company is working on health promotion measures suitable for the new ways of working, such as distributing videos on stretching and holding mental health seminars.
Looking ahead, the azbil Group plans to continue advancing people-centered health and well-being management, promoting employees’ health and happiness, and fulfilling its responsibilities to society.
