The azbil Group Establishes New Target in the Environment and Energy Field for the SDGs
— Contributing “In Series” to a Sustainable Society —

TOKYO, May 16, 2022: Azbil Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange Code: 6845) announced it has established a new target in order to pursue specific initiatives for its “Essential Goals of azbil Group for SDGs”^*1 and will strengthen those efforts.

In pursuit of achieving a sustainable society, the azbil Group has positioned the SDGs as important guideposts for management and established essential goals of the azbil Group for the SDGs, which are the four goals to be achieved by 2030 listed below (Environment and Energy; New Automation; Supply Chain and Social Responsibility; and Health and Well-Being Management and An Organization That Never Stops Learning) covering business and general corporate activities, including human resource development, that aim to create value unique to the azbil Group. To advance its contributions “in series” to the achievement of a sustainable society, the Group has been setting various specific targets.

As the first step towards creating and providing eco-friendly products and services, Azbil has established its newest target that states “Design all new products to meet the azbil Group's own sustainability standards.” This falls under the aforementioned goal of Environment and Energy, which endeavors to solve energy-related problems through cooperative creation for the purpose of contributing to the Earth’s environment and achieving a decarbonized society.

Founded on continued environmentally-conscious design initiatives and proactively further expanded upon, the azbil Group’s sustainability standards were completely restructured from an SDGs perspective and systematically redesigned. Through these sustainability standards, contributions will be made to the realization of environmental-integrated management that comprehensively engages in business activities that tackle various environmental issues.

Guided by its philosophy of “human-centered automation,” the azbil Group aims to make contributions that lead “in series” to the achievement of a sustainable society, that secure its own sustainable growth, and that continue to advance specific initiatives.
