Participating in Locked Shields 2024, the cyber defense exercise hosted by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence

TOKYO, November 19, 2024: Azbil Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange code:6845) participated in Locked Shields 2024, a cyber defence exercise hosted by the Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) from April 23 to 26, with the aim of improving its comprehensive response capabilities to cyber attacks and gaining further knowledge about the latest cybersecurity trends.

Locked Shields is the world's largest cyber defense exercise, focused on training participants to respond to comprehensive cyber attacks. This time, about 40 countries, including NATO member states, participated. Since 2021, Japan's Ministry of Defense, Self-Defense Forces, and other relevant ministries and private businesses have officially participated, and it was our second time participating since 2023.

The company will use the cyber-attack response capabilities and technical knowledge gained from this exercise to strengthen the cybersecurity of its products and services, thereby contributing to its customers' efforts to defend critical infrastructure.
